Just an insane situation. Ive been taking lexapro for a while now and I was told by my pharmacy that I need to call in for an appointment to get it refilled. When I called mindfully they let me know that my psychiatrist (Jonathon Cole) had left the practice. Ive been on the meds for a couple of years and not one email was sent to me to lef me know that my psychiatrist left the practice?!?! How many people are prescribed meds by him and not told that he left the practice? Thats alarming. They tell me they can schedule me with Ashley Walters in 3 weeks. I say okay although I am already low on my meds. I join my session via telehealth and wait 10-15--30mins and Ashley does not join. Weird. I sent her a message through the portal, no response. I called over the next few days and I keep getting voicemails. Eventually Stephanie calls me back. I tell her the situation and she asks me if I joined through the zoom link. I told her that ive never gotten a zoom link, I got one from telehealth.kareo. She says oh no thats our old system you shouldve gotten one from the new system and Ashley cant get you in till June (its end of april. WHAT?! So Im out of meds, im not told my psychiatrist left, they didnt send me the right link and I have to WAIT another 6 weeks to get an appointment?! Everyone knows that you cannot suddenly stop anti depressant meds??!! The receptionist Stephanie didnt seem to care to help in any way. Absolutely appalled at how unprofessional and DANGEROUS this practice is.

My only complaint is that I cannot schedule an appointment or change an appointment myself through a patient portal or request meds to be sent to a different pharmacy or request a different manufacturer for meds online. For this I decided to deduct a star because there is definitely room for improvements. I have not had any issues getting an appointment in a timely manner whether it is in person or telehealth. A lot of reviews mentioned the provider cancelling or not showing up to the telehealth appointment. That has not been my experience. My provider is Courtney Moorehead and she has fulfilled every appointment we have scheduled together. Courtney has listened to my needs and is also receptive to my requests or suggestions as her patient. My experiences and struggles are always validated by her and met with understanding. She often reassures me I am not the only woman feeling how I do or experiencing hormonal shifts and whatnot that can impact the effectiveness of medication during the month as well which makes me feel less crazy! Sometimes I cannot get a hold of anyone at the office to schedule an appointment and that’s why doing it online would be nice. The receptionist does always call me back even if it is sometimes not until the next day- but if I accidentally miss her call back then return her call and there is no answer again we can be stuck playing a bit of phone tag which can be annoying but it’s not her fault so it’s nothing against her at all. Just something to consider making available for patients. But don’t take her hours away and replace her with a robot or self service only because she does a great job!
