TRACY HOO
Today, I had hand surgery with Dr. Michelle Carlson at the Hospital for Special Surgery, and I cannot speak highly enough of the experience. Dr. Carlson is a world-renowned hand surgeon with over 20 years of experience. She has been my doctor since 2017, treating my complex hand and wrist conditions. Before the surgery, I was struggling with various symptoms, including the inability to open jars, lift objects, and consistent pain radiating from my hands to my elbows. I also experienced pins and needles sensations and would often wake up with numbness in my hand. I tried conservative treatments, which provided relief for about a month or two, but it became clear that surgery was necessary. I flew from West Palm Beach, Florida, to NYC for this procedure. From the initial consultation to the post-op care, Dr. Carlson and her team, including Michelle S., PA, made me feel comfortable and confident. The surgery went smoothly, and I woke up to an attentive medical team. A few of the incredible staff members I want to acknowledge are Merritt J., Nelson R., Ashley, MaryAnn V., Kathleen V., Erin S., Joseph D., Abena, and the OR staff—no phones allowed in the OR. Dr. Carlson has always demonstrated professionalism, compassion, and exceptional bedside manners. I’m feeling incredibly blessed today! 👏👏 #HandSurgerySuccess #DrMichelleCarlson #HSS #HandSpecialist #GratefulPatient
