My mother went to this doctor because her OBGYN was on vacation. She was in a lot of in pain and had various other symptoms. He recommended a pap smear and ultrasound, and after receiving the results, told her she was fine. My mother's symptoms continued so she went back to her long time OBGYN who did a biopsy which indicated she had endometrial cancer. This doctor should not be practicing!!! Had my mom not returned to her doctor, she could have died because of the negligence and lack of knowledge of this so-called doctor!!! I returned to Afshari's office to get my mom's records only to find the office with patient files open and unattended. When the doctor finally came out, I told him I was going to report him and he started yelling at me that he didn't care. He then charged me 75 cents for 3 pages of records!!! He has no morals and clearly is incompetent. DO NOT put your health in this man's hands!!! Do your research beforehand and choose a trusted knowledgeable doctor!
