I went to Dr. Iammatteo’s office during my first pregnancy in 2021, my whole pregnancy was eventless, no complications, no high risk or anything and maybe because of these, I only saw the doctor like twice towards the end, other times were all with the NP. Almost a week after my due date passed, the office ordered me another ultrasound and during that it was discovered my water level was low. I’m sure the office got the note from the ultrasound office and I was nervous what should I do and not sure how urgent it was, it was Thursday late afternoon and I tried to call the office again and again. The front desk said they told the doctor but I didn’t hear back. Even the technician at the ultrasound place said your water is low and should probably go to labor soon but my OB couldn’t be reached. I ended up calling the hospital myself as a nervous first time mom to be and asked to talk to the OB on call, he was very nice and said what are you waiting for, come to the hospital now, I’m here tonight, he even laughed and said Dr. Iammatteo owes me one! I don’t recall that doctor’s name anymore but I am so grateful for him! In contrast, the whole time in the hospital when I was being induced, when I pushed and when I had to go to C-section, these was no one from Dr. Iammatteo’s office to be seen or heard. Dr. Potash showed up 2 days later after I gave birth, and however much time later I learnt the OB office tried to schedule me a C-section but couldn’t find a spot and they were just gonna try again after the weekend while I already had my baby Friday night. Luckily both my son and myself were fine but who knows what would happen if I just kept waiting to hear back from this OB office. While I wish every mom has a smooth and eventless pregnancy, but that’s not the reason the OB office doesn’t really care or pay attention. I gave 2 stars because at least everything was fine and the nurses and NP were very nice but overall I don’t recommend this office.
