I visited this urgent care yesterday for eyelid inflammation. I’ve lived in the area for nearly three years. My first visit two years ago was fine. This visit was unsafe, disorganized, and unacceptable. I arrived at 3:30 PM and was told the wait would be 30 minutes. I was called in at 3:48 PM, entered around 3:50 PM, and was placed in Room 4. Once placed in the exam room, I was forgotten. I sat over 20 minutes with no vitals taken, no assessment, and no communication. No one checked on me. I had to open the door and ask when I would be seen. The MA responded with attitude and dismissiveness. Vitals were only taken after I spoke up, which confirms I had been overlooked. This is a patient safety issue. Forgetting a patient in an exam room without vitals or monitoring is unacceptable and unsafe. Proper workflow and patient tracking are basic standards of care. I was finally seen by the PA at 4:30 PM, nearly 90 minutes after arrival. The visit was rushed. During the apology, the PA placed his hand on my back, which was unnecessary and inappropriate. I work in the medical field at Mount Sinai, and this visit demonstrated poor patient flow, lack of accountability, and unsafe practices. Patients should never be left unattended or forgotten once roomed. This is not a matter of inconvenience—it is a matter of safety. I left frustrated, late for my meeting, and deeply concerned. This was one of the worst urgent care experiences I’ve had. I will not return and do not recommend this location.
