I had a very disappointing experience with Manhattan Cardiology at 171A E 65th St, New York, NY. In my opinion, this practice seems more focused on maximizing insurance billing and out-of-pocket charges than providing meaningful patient care. I was referred there by Dr. Janice Cristobal at Medical Offices of Manhattan after my annual physical. She described it as their “in-house” cardiology practice and suggested that even a healthy person like me should get a checkup. During my visits with Dr. Randy Gould at Manhattan Cardiology, I underwent three tests that felt unnecessary, expensive, and poorly explained. It took three separate trips to complete everything, and the office would not provide cost information beforehand. The doctor’s interaction was extremely minimal. At each visit, he appeared briefly at the door only to say, “Everything is good,” with no detailed explanation, guidance, or discussion of the results. Despite this, additional testing was still recommended, which I declined. Overall, I did not feel that the care provided justified the time, cost, or inconvenience. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this practice.
