An upscale radiology center that Manhattan would envy, Main Street's Glendale location has professional and poised fresh-faced medical technicians who understand patient care and satisfaction. Your first contact may be bright and fast-talking Melissa, the front desk receptionist and scheduler, who efficiently organizes patient in-takes while simultaneously solving my scheduling problems on the phone–she's the "handler." Melissa communicated with patience and remembered details of my health and insurance issues, often educating me on the proper radiology steps. I also appreciate the receptionist who wrote my CD records, and Kayla, the gentle long-lashed medical assistant who bandaged me (thanks all). To be honest, at Main Street, it was like a St John's University sorority where many of the technicians studied radiologic sciences. Nicole, Annie, and Stephanie performed my MRI. Salena gently performed my sonogram. Lovely Sabrina and Alyssa teamed up to operate the mammogram machine, to assist Dr. Bobbi Ring (highly recommend as the radiologist/biopsy surgeon!) in breast localization. The friendly young ladies chatted me up for distraction, as Dr. Ring inserted the Savi Scout reflector, a new radar technology that guides the surgeon more accurately to a potential tumor. The spacious industrial black building, across the street from a bucolic cemetery, houses superior radiology systems such as the: Genius 3D Mammography exam, with 41% more accuracy, that images breasts into layer slices and integrates AI detection software; or the Siemens 3 Tesla MRI machine that provides double the magnetom strength for greater resolution and a shorter exam time. The only shortcoming to Main St Radiology is the lack of public subway stations nearby. You do need a car or Uber/Lyft, as the busses nearby are slow or .4 miles away. If you have access to a car, no problem, because there is a secure parking lot for customers outside.
