I am writing to formally file a serious complaint regarding unacceptable behavior I experienced at your hospital. After my registration, including providing my name and date of birth and receiving a patient identification wristband, I was called to proceed for a weight measurement prior to my appointment with the oncology doctor. During this process, the staff member in question treated me in an extremely disrespectful and degrading manner. She pointed at me with her finger in a dismissive way, as if I had no identity or dignity. As a cancer patient, I find this behavior deeply distressing and completely unacceptable in a medical environment. Additionally, I witnessed the same staff member responding rudely to another patient who politely explained that I had been waiting for approximately two hours. Her response was unprofessional and dismissive, stating: “This is how things are here. She is responding to people in a rude way and telling them: is this really necessary? Do patients have to wait for an hour or two, while she waves her hands in a rude manner? We are cancer patients. You need to hire staff who treat us with respect and politeness Such conduct is incompatible with basic standards of patient care, dignity, and professional ethics. Patients in oncology care are in a vulnerable physical and emotional state and must be treated with respect, empathy, and professionalism at all times. This incident highlights a serious lack of effective supervision and accountability over staff interacting with oncology patients. It is imperative that the hospital implements strict monitoring mechanisms and enforces clear disciplinary measures to ensure that such unacceptable conduct is addressed and not repeated.
