I am 8 1/2 months pregnant and need to get refills of my prenatal vitamins. I gave Dr. Bailyn's office a call for a refill. They filled it, but my insurance now doesn't cover those particular prenatals. I tried calling them back and sent a message informing them that I need a new prenatal. I didn't get a call back at all and didn't get a message back until hours later. They resent the same prescription that isn't covered. Tried calling again no answer, no call back. I sent another message asking for a different prenatal and nothing. I had spoken with my insurance again and found out that the prenatal advised was quite expensive so they recommended something cheaper. I called the dr's office all day on Friday, left voicemails, used their chat service and received no communication back from them at all. On Monday, they sent a new prescription to an old pharmacy. I only found out because the old pharmacy sent me a message. No one from the doctor called me. I called the office again twice. No one answered the first time, but the second time I finally spoke with someone named Victoria who was extremely unhelpful, difficult and rude. She did not listen to the issues at hand and offered no apologies. She referred me to the office manager saying they'd call me back. I highly doubt this will happen in a timely manner, if at all. Meanwhile, I still don't have a solution. All I want is to know if the new less expensive prenatal is of the same nutritional quality as the old one that is not covered and for them to send the prescription to the correct pharmacy. Their office should be ashamed of themselves. I've been a patient for years and have had no previous issues. Not sure what has changed, but the quality of service is deplorable now. Everything that happened could have been avoided with simple call backs and communication within a reasonable time frame. The doctors and nurses have always been knowledgeable, but the front desk staff are embarassingly difficult to deal with. I will be finding a different doctor and recommend that no one waste their time with this uncommunicative office.
