Hey
Good experience with Dr. Atiya, he is very good. However, the receptionist is unhelpful, often distracted by her personal phone, and doesn’t answer calls for booking appointments.

I am so happy I found this medical office! The physicians, PAs, and staff treat their patients as if they are family. They are on call for anything I need — day or night — and they are always willing and able to provide. There is a specialist on staff for just about any need that may arise beyond primary care, and on the off-chance that a particular specialist isn’t in-house, Dr. Attia and John have a seemingly endless list of some of the best doctors in the city, who know and respect them, and are happy to take a referral and see their patients. The front desk staff is kind, generous, personable, and knowledgeable. They make you feel like friends, and that friendly demeanor and dedication to patient care is what keeps people returning to this office week after week, and year after year. In response to a previous review that critiqued Andrea for treating her “co-workers” as if they are her “employees,” that reviewer must have observed Andrea doing her job properly; she is the office manager and her co-workers *are* her employees. Still, as an outsider, I have seen nothing but camaraderie, mutual respect, and good nature amongst the staff. And if you, as a patient, feel you are being treated as an “employee,” perhaps you are experiencing her professionalism on display. If Andrea — or anyone at the front desk — is coming off as serious and authoritative, it is because they are serious about your care… something I wish was far more common in medical practices. Your health matters to these people. Seriously. At New York Internal Medicine, you’re not just a name on a chart or a co-pay to be collected — you’re a human being. This team will do everything in their power to ensure you receive the best care possible.
