I had an extremely disappointing experience at this hospital. The waiting room was overcrowded when I arrived and remained packed for the entire three hours I waited. During that time, I was not evaluated or treated despite being in significant pain and experiencing serious symptoms. What was even more concerning was the atmosphere. Security and police officers were speaking to visitors in a hostile and disrespectful manner, making people feel like they had done something wrong simply by being there seeking medical care. After waiting three hours without receiving treatment, I made the decision to leave and take a cab to Lenox Hill Hospital. No patient should feel ignored, dismissed, or subjected to such an unpleasant environment while seeking medical attention. I sincerely hope improvements are made to both patient care and the way visitors are treated.

I visited the Emergency Room on June 3, 2026, after a foot injury. If I say that I spent several hours there, that probably would not surprise anyone these days. However, I got the impression that the staff were more interested in watching the Knicks vs. Spurs basketball game than in their patients, and I did not feel that my condition received proper attention. I was diagnosed with a fifth metatarsal fracture and was given a CAM boot and crutches. However, the radiologist's report contained a recommendation to perform a CT scan for further evaluation. No one paid attention to that recommendation, and no further diagnostic testing was performed. Because the severe pain continued, I had to contact my primary care physician myself to obtain a referral for an MRI and then travel to another appointment for the MRI. All of this happened during a period when I was supposed to minimize movement and keep my foot at rest as much as possible. A week later, the MRI revealed additional injuries, including an avulsion fracture of the cuboid bone and tendon damage. I understand that Emergency Rooms operate under very demanding conditions; however, I was left with the feeling that my case did not receive sufficient attention and that the recommendations contained in the radiologist's report were not properly considered. Unfortunately, after this visit, I was left with the impression that the Knicks vs. Spurs game taking place that evening received more attention from the staff than the patients who were waiting for medical care.
