The front desk person was excellent, and even troubleshoot a referral issue with my doctor's office on the spot. The staff member who helped in the waiting area before the test was also efficient and kind. My experience with the MRI technician was truly dreadful. She seemed surprised and confused when I said I had metal in my body from spinal fusion surgery, which was already on my paperwork. She couldn't answer the questions that my doctor explicitly told me to ask, then said that they were very busy and I would be fine. Due to her obvious lack of confidence I asked to speak to someone else for peace of mind, but she told me she was very busy and insisted we start the MRI. I politely requested to speak to someone else again and she brought me to another technician who spoke to me with her back turned and said she was also very busy and that I would be fine. They both could not have cared less and were in an incredible rush. I entered the MRI frightened even though I'm not someone who experiences anxiety in medical settings. The technician didn't give me any other guidance about what to expect, just snapped at me to stay still. It was so dehumanizing that I held back tears during the test and cried in the dressing room afterwards. I've never had a medical experience like this, and certainly have never cried over having a simple and painless test! Despite the other staff being friendly and the facility in a convenient location, there is no way I can return.
