I became a patient of Dr. Bernstein as a referral patient from my Paediatrician. At the time in the early 1980's very few children needed this kind of specialist. Unfortunately, seeing this Dr proved to be not just useless but traumatizing to me and I have spent over 15K later on in life to work on reversing the damages getting dust and pollen allergy shots. I believe I developed a condition to the spine that is due to the toxins and preservatives in these shots. Please do your research if you have a child who has environmental allergies. Yes the Dr appeared to have specialized knowledge and that is what my Parents believed. I still recall vividly when the repeal of 1986 liability of drug makers with all the vaccines, came out how Doctors looked at us like big ticket $$$$ makers! My life went downhill really quickly. What is horrible is thinking how easy the fix was for asthma back then: don't drink milk and get a great vacuum! Since the entire 8 years of regular shots did absolutely nothing for my intelligence, only slowed me down, I had to seek out the advice from a Kinesiologist and learn how to rebuild my Gut health pertaining to leaky gut. For example, what does challah bread and mouldy cream cheese do to a Jewish kid? The worst foods for many and sadly no one wanted to contribute to this kind of data back then. If you are Jewish, do your research on faulty HLA genes. For one, you need a water filter in your home. Two, you don't excrete common moulds correctly therefore you can't eat foods rich in histamines and things like levened bread which can contribute to candida. I will always have some level of asthma, that is not the issue. The issue I had is why was I used like a guinea pig as a child? Why did the Doctor not even question the cleansing agents in our home? The healthy way is always no bleach! Nothing with perfumes! Dawn soap and Vinegar and hot water can make a big difference. But meanwhile I was shot up with extra allergy shots impacting my vision, my IQ and worse creating extra autoimmune reactions to foods. I had to learn years later asthmatics should usually not eat oranges or bananas from the research I was given. Gut health is the only way to helping asthmatics. If I had to quantify the health benefits I received as a result of long term probiotic therapy for leaky gut, allergies to dust and pollen as well as perfumes, It would be a BILLION TIMES BETTER than the fancy shmancy allergy tests I received. Dr Bernstein was trained well but there is way more accurate research out there friends. I ended up figuring it out once I went back home to Canada. Dr Bernstein I still don't know what was in those shots from 1986 to 1988 taking away some of my vision, do you? Did you ever think when a kid has a full blown asthma attack and the Epinephrine pen does nothing and you sent me to the hospital I was a child who was being medically abused? Did you ever look or get trained for the signs of parental medical abuse for the amount of times I was brought in to see you? You practically took away my childhood by not seeing the signs of any of the traumas I was going through. Don't worry, I don't care to sue you. Just know these preservatives cost the Country of Canada over $200,000 in tests to see why I had so many problems. Your credentials would not even hold up here at Mount Sinai.

Had a terrible experience with this doctor- all i asked was to check if my son is allergic to dust and he threw tantrum to me and my wife - DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR- he is very rude and has an attitude. I would put a negative star on this doctor if i can.
