As a Colorado resident, I chose to travel over 2,000 miles to see Dr. Macgillivray as my husband had a successful ACL repair performed over 14 years ago. I wanted a second opinion as I was advised here in Colorado that I would need a total knee replacement. I was scared and uncertain. I knew Dr. Macgillivray would lead me in the right direction, and he most certainly has!! The knee injections he prescribed and physical therapy have helped my severe arthritis in my right knee. I’m already back to jogging, and looking forward to completing my 14th half marathon in the very near future. His office staff is absolutely amazing and attentive as well. I completely recommend Dr. Macgillivray to anyone with orthopedic issues, even if it means traveling a long distance.

21 months since he repaired my torn ACL (patellar tendon) and I would say I am as strong as new. I still have some scar tissue soreness which is very normal. A few weeks after the surgery, when I went to physical therapy, my practice told me I had one of the best range of motions they have ever seen in an ACL patient this early. I followed his instructions and exercises since day 1. 12 months later I was back on the mountain skiing (very emotional day) note that I am 200 lbs. that’s a lot of weight to be putting on the knee. My physical therapist was extremely impressed with the job he did. But like anything, if you don’t put in the work, the results won’t be there. Thank you doctor for allowing me to continue living my life!
