I was quoted $1,200 for a Cosmelan peel at the 6% concentration by Stephanie over the phone. That is what I booked. I showed up to my appointment only to be told they were completely out of the product — something they knew ahead of time and couldn’t be bothered to call and tell me before I came in. The doctor offered an alternative peel, said it was half as effective, and told me it would be half the price. Half of $1,200 is $600. When they came back with a $900 price tag for this inferior substitute, I questioned it. That’s when Stephanie told me — to my face — that there is no such thing as a $1,200 Cosmelan peel, and that I was never booked for one. I came in that day with a confirmed appointment for exactly that. She gave me completely wrong information over the phone and then denied key parts of our conversation ever happened. I have seen Dr. Ruth twice and did like her — she’s the only reason I came back. Today she wasn’t available so I saw a different doctor. That doctor apologized but made no effort to actually make it right. Stephanie’s response was essentially “sorry you feel that way” — zero acknowledgment, zero accountability. The whole thing was shady - inconsistent pricing, a treatment they didn’t even have in stock, and zero effort to contact me before I wasted my time coming in. The level of unprofessionalism here is staggering. Stephanie is incompetent at best and dishonest at worst. I was made to feel stupid in front of the staff for simply repeating back what I was told. I walked out and I will never return. Do not trust the pricing or the information you’re given here.
