At around 10pm on a Wednesday night, riding home on the subway, one of my top teeth decided it had had enough of me, snapped out of place, and fell into my mouth. Yes, the entire tooth. A recurring nightmare, suddenly real.
I texted a friend who’d just had her own tooth disaster, and she told me to call Dr. Andrew Konigsberg first thing Thursday morning. At 8am, I called, spoke to Euphemia, and she got me in immediately.
When I arrived, they saw me right away. Within minutes, they coordinated my care and sent me to Dr. Moosavi at Compassionate Endodontics for a root canal (another very strong recommendation). After that, I returned to Dr. Konigsberg’s office to get a new tooth.
Guys: they have an in-house lab! They made the tooth ON SITE and it was ready within an hour. What could easily have taken a week, or longer, was completed in a single day.
Yes, I spent about seven hours total between the root canal and the replacement tooth. But every single person I encountered, including Dr. Konigsberg himself, made what could have been a terrifying experience feel calm, efficient, and genuinely humane.
This was shocking and scary, and I honestly could not have designed a warmer, more caring, more competent team if I tried. They are exceptional at what they do, and just as exceptional in how they do it.
