So.. I made an appointment with Dr. Aviles a month ago.(my first time there) they booked me for yesterday (april 16) at 3pm . I was there at 220pm cto filled up forms and staff. When I did the appointment the lady asked me if I have a referral which I replied not having it and also im looking for a new primary doctor. So she booked me. I asked her if I should perform a fasting blood test which she told me they also have that service so she made an appointment for that as well.. when I arrive yesterday the lady told without a referral I cant see the doctor.so I try to explained to her that I already discuss this previous to the apt. Also I told her I was told that I will get a phone call and email confirmation as a reminder of my appointment. So she just told me this is not their fault .she doesn't know who I spoke with .. I was upset cause not I lose time at.work but I was 16 hours fasting for this.. regardless doctor might be good but the people who.they work for him make impossible to get new patients. I should pay attention at the 2n half starts out 5 reviews... my.bad on that.

Honestly I was doubting leaving a review because Dr. Aviles advocated a lot for my sisters health and treatment. The staff however is extremely disorganized, rude, and you literally walk around and feel like they do not care about patients at all. My dad had a procedure that was canceled because of the snow storm . They said we would get called back to reschedule, I was the one that had to follow up more than a week later to reschedule it and none of the other patients were reached out to by then. Dad had a procedure today, I called the office, a super rude man answered saying that I must have the wrong office, then said he couldn’t connect me to the woodside office because they were busy, and then told me to leave a voicemail. All I was asking for was to know where in the procedure my dad was to pick him up since they do put him under. My dad left, when I got to the office I asked the front desk staff if they knew about how long ago, she shrugged and said I don’t know in an extremely nonchalant matter as if they didn’t write in the directions that patient had to be picked up from this procedure. Dr. Aviles might care for his patients but his staff could care less, the staff is extremely rude- borderline inhumane.
