Scott Peterson
I’ve been a client at Liberty for 62 days, and the staff here has been critical to my recovery. I want to specifically recognize: Case Workers — Miranda, Whitney and Gretchen: All showed consistent follow-through and treated me with dignity. They helped me navigate resources, appointments, and accountability without judgment. When I had court requirements, they advocated for me and kept things clear. Peer Supports — Shane, Joel, and Nicole Blk.: They’ve lived it. That makes a difference. They showed up, told the truth, and modeled what recovery looks like day to day. Just real talk and real support. Med Tech — Ash: Professional, thorough, and kind. She managed medications accurately and treated me like a friend, not a problem. That consistency matters. Therapist — Sean: You’ve been in the trenches with me. You helped me get myself back. You taught me Hard Man was just scared. You gave me tools to put stop lights up on my freeway in my mind to slow down my impulsivity. Because of you, I don’t abandon myself anymore. Thank you for doing the hard work with me. Kitchen Manager — Shayla Cooks — Elva, Blanca You feed us like we matter. Routine and real food keeps people stable and happy. Thank you for treating us with dignity in the kitchen and allowing me to do the dishes. Along with the conversations. Maintenance Man — Eric: You fix things. Doors, sinks, chairs. But you also look me in the eye like I’m a person and allowed me to help out when I wasn’t in groups. Liberty gave me structure, accountability, and people who actually care. I came in broken and injured. Because of this team, I’m 116 days sober and learning to live differently thanks to the assignments and staff. I’m not the same man I was on Day 1. Thank you, Scott Peterson
