My mother underwent a colonoscopy at this office and experienced persistent abdominal pain for 3–4 days afterward. Concerned, I called the office to report her symptoms and seek guidance. The receptionist took down all of the information and assured me that the doctor would be notified and would call back promptly with instructions. Unfortunately, no one ever called. The following day, I called again to follow up and was given the same response. Once again, there was no return call, no follow-up, and no concern shown for the patient’s condition. This is not what quality patient care looks like. Communication and follow-up are critical, especially when a patient is experiencing ongoing pain after a medical procedure. It felt as though once the procedure was completed and payment was collected, the patient was no longer a priority. I cannot recommend this practice based on our experience. Patients deserve better communication, accountability, and post-procedure support.
