The Avant-garde Acting Studio
I recently visited Dr. Menikoff for an allergy consultation, and while I cannot fully comment on his expertise as an allergist, I feel compelled to share my concerns regarding his views on animals. During our conversation, I mentioned being bitten by a cat. To my surprise, Dr. Menikoff suggested that the cat should be killed or have its teeth pulled, stating that a biting cat would likely bite again. I was taken aback by this suggestion, as there are certainly more humane options available. In my experience, the cat in question was a foster cat who, with time and care, transformed from a biter into a gentle lap cat. This change was achieved through love and patience, not drastic measures. I hope that Dr. Menikoff will reconsider his stance on handling animals and recognize that compassionate alternatives exist. Animals deserve understanding and care, not extreme actions.
