It’s been four weeks. No one picks up the phone to his office. Instead, there is an outgoing message all day long every time I call there is no space in the messaging service because it’s full. I even tried to send an email to no avail. I am now desperately trying to find another psychiatrist because my daughter has run out of her medication. The pharmacy even try to reach him and still no answer. This has been a very frustrating situation. I am extremely upset because messing around with medication and not being available at all for four weeks is unheard of.(client abandonment is very serious)

I have been a patient of Dr Hapworth for more than 5 years. My therapy consist of both private and group sessions. The doctor has always been involved, understanding and concerned about his patients well being and healing. While he doesn’t really tolerate equivocation or obfuscation , he makes you think . He has certainly never displayed any anti-gay, or for that matter any kind of prejudice in any interactions I have had. Our discussion group has an above average number of gay participants who also have worked with him for a while.
