Since I left the hospital and came here I've been working really hard with therapy which is very challenging the results are more than I ever expected in such a short time. I've been dealing with my injuries including the inability to walk. I have made more progress here than in the 2years since my initial back surgery. I took my first weight bearing steps within 11days here and have been progressing ever since. The staff is very attentive, caring and respectful. The facility is a little older but don't let that fool you. The accommodations are comfortable and cozy. Ms Audrey one of my nurses has been amazing in fact medical concerns are delt with promptly by the medical team. Ms Ericka in the business office helps guide me to coordinate with my insurance to ensure continuity of care my social worker Laurilee has been on top of assisting me with options concerning after care and discharging. The facility has plenty of activities ensuring the residents have entertainment options widely available. Ms. Nora especially has been kind always putting a smile on the residents face with her kind and compassionate nature. If one is considering either short term care or long term care, or both the Melbourne Healthcare and Rehabilitation Centee should be their first option.
