Fordam University

In my 4 years at Fordham, I have yet to have a positive experience at the Health Center. I have been charged upwards of $100 for a single visit about a cold, put on hold for 20 minutes, and turned away. One time I went in for a sprained ankle and the nurse practitioner told me, verbatim, "Oh this kind of thing happens when the sun and moon align." This is someone licensed to practice medicine on others. It's cheaper and safer to go to CityMD down the street, I strongly advise current and prospective students to avoid this health center whenever possible for your own health.

Worst Place Ever. My boyfriend went there for what was CLEARLY a serious sinus infection and they would NOT prescribe him anything for it. They told him that "basically everyone is sick right now with a cold or sinus infection, and to just toughen it out and see if it gets worse." Meanwhile, he is sneezing, can't breath, congested, has a sinus headache and pressure, and you can clearly hear it in his voice. This is NOT the first time this has happened to him here. It happened last year and he ended up getting very sick. Thanks a lot Fordham. It's already bad enough I have to be hundreds of miles away from him, and now I don't even know if he's going to get the proper treatment or medicine he needs to get better. Don't recommend going here AT ALL.
