I went in at 2am for horrible abdominal pain. Triage saw me within 20-30 minutes and I was taken back for a bed within an hour of arriving. Everybody who worked with me had a calm and kind bedside manner. The bed was comfortable and I appreciated the curtain and door for dim light and quiet. The meds took the edge off while I waited for blood test, contrast, and CT scan and results. I actually managed to sleep here and there. My only minor criticisms: The IV made me severely cold, with intense shivering that made my pain worse. I’m not sure why they made the drip so fast but only gave me a thin sheet if they knew it can chill people. I got a few more sheet layers and the drip turned off when somebody came though, so a remedy for that oversight was had. While my bed was comfortable, the plastic chair for my wife was not. At least nobody minded that she laid her head on the bed.
