The doctors and staff here are excellent. I have brought both my 7 year old daughter and myself here for exams/glasses, and each time everyone has gone above and beyond to help us. Both exams were done on different days by different doctors, but each one was extremely thorough, taking the time to be precise and accurate. They found a slight astigmatism in my eyesight that I knew had to be there for at least 5 years (probably more), but no one had found on examination before. My daughter broke her glasses the day before she was supposed to go on a camping trip with her class for 3 days, and they were able to cut her new lenses in less than an hour. This is one of the few places that doesn't send all their patients' orders out to get their glasses manufactured, which means someone actually cares about your glasses and leaves much less room for mistakes. (Once an eye doctor in Queens ordered her glasses, and whoever made them cut the lenses in the wrong shape and instead of just re-doing it, they melted the frame so the lenses would fit. They were crooked on her face and we had to wait another week during the beginning of the school year and it was just a disaster.) This place takes pride in what they do, and it shows. I had my glasses stolen and was living with just contacts for way too long, and they called and said I could pick up my glasses the next day! The staff remember their customers and are extremely helpful. My husband has insurance through his union which is always difficult to find in whatever database is used, but they took the time to go through a huge binder and get the correct codes without getting exasperated. We feel welcome everytime we've been there.
