Worst experience I’ve ever had with a chiropractor. I made an appointment via text message because I was in significant back pain. Despite a recent blizzard and freezing temperatures, I took two forms of transportation to get to the MaxHealth Center office. When I arrived, I was told I did not have an appointment. I showed Dr. Fernandez the text messages confirming it. At that point, she said she didn’t realize she had agreed to see someone who is not a “frequent” patient. I had previously used her services once before. During that visit, I found her sales tactics to be aggressive and she was not able to adjust my back, but I decided to give her another chance. I explained that I travel often for work, which makes it difficult to come into the office regularly. Her demeanor immediately became hostile. She refused to provide an adjustment solely because I could not commit to frequent visits and told me to “see my way out.” I was in real pain and pleaded for help, but I was treated with shocking cruelty and dismissal. Thankfully, I was able to find another chiropractic practice that was professional, compassionate, and willing to help. I do not recommend this provider to anyone, especially if you value professionalism, empathy, or respectful treatment. Unless you can commit to frequent visits and tolerate being spoken to harshly, I would strongly advise going elsewhere.
