My partner and I have both had eye exams and purchased glasses from Eyes On The World. They are professional, courteous, and hyper-focused on customer service. If you're looking for a family-owned and operated practice in New York City, this is the place.

I came here because I had redness of the eye. I was using over the counter eye drops and was told by the doctor that they actually make things worse not better. So I had my eyes checked out and was given a prescription at my local pharmacy. This is my second time coming here. I come yearly and have recommended friends to them because unlike other places, it’s not an optician, but an eye Doctor. A real ophthamatrist, not some run of the mill optician. You get what you pay for. Most insurance accepted. Since I have none, I paid cash and was given a decent price. When my eyes are healthy after 2 weeks, I’m coming back for a new prescription for my eye glasses and a new frame. They have many frames to choose from. I counted 1070 frames. ( I was bored and the doctor was fixing my eyeglass frames for free ) but I was told they have even more frames in the drawers behind the counter. So my guess is about 2.000 frames available at anytime. Plenty of designer frames too.
