I’ve had IPL and Sofwave treatments here, and I want to be fair in saying that the physician’s technical skills and in-office treatment experience were generally good.
However, I ultimately decided not to continue care due to significant issues with pre-treatment communication and administrative consistency, which unfortunately outweighed the positives for me.
For a scheduled appointment, I received detailed written pre-treatment instructions only four days in advance, despite those instructions clearly stating that certain preparations require 2 weeks, and in some cases up to 4 weeks, of advance planning. Earlier emails did mention avoiding certain products or practices, but did not specify any required timeframe, making it impossible to know how far in advance these restrictions needed to be followed.
When I raised this concern, the instructions were later described as “ballpark” or “flexible,” which directly contradicted how they were presented in writing (with explicit timelines). This shift made it difficult to understand what was truly required versus optional, and significantly reduced my confidence in the process.
In addition, I had clearly and repeatedly requested email-only communication for clarity and record-keeping. Despite this, I was repeatedly encouraged to call, even after explicitly stating that I was not comfortable with phone discussions.
Overall, while the clinical care itself was solid, the lack of clear, timely, and consistent communication around preparation and expectations was disappointing. For patients who value structured guidance, advance notice, and clear boundaries, this may be something to consider.
