Loved the old school feel of a pediatricians office with a variety of children’s books and magazines, but the Dr.’s bedside manner is third world country level. While I was on the phone with my 6 month old daughters medical insurance, he pokes his head out by the receptionist window and goes, “ If you can’t get your insurance figured out, you’re going home.” Who speaks this way to a set of parents that are there with two adorable infants? Maybe an A for good book selection and the aquarium that I actually liked, but an F for class and dignity. To add insult to injury, even before I was able to get off the phone with the insurance company, the receptionist casually tells us that we need to reschedule. So we come in, spend 1 hour waiting, call insurance to figure out coverage issue, only to have the office staff disregard our time and efforts by literally dismissing us from their office. For any human being this treatment is concerning, but especially for parents that are there with infants, this felt particularly cold and undignified.
