I had reached a point where I couldn't focus on anything for more than 5 minutes tops and I had no energy to do anything physical. My days were just blurring and I felt like the antidepressants I was on from my GP were just taking the edge off when I wanted to be productive. My husband had been seeing Dr. Poletti for years and I knew I need to at least speak with someone who could guide me maybe to a better option than what I was going through. The setup was fine, called and got my intake done quickly and then I started seeing her. She immediately listened to my story and wanted to try things by just adding and not upset my system. Looking to only add and not go through a whole journey if I didn't need to. I kept seeing her everything 3 weeks to a month and we discussed all of my sideffects and experiences on the medications and are still trying to figure them out. But each time I see her I am greeted with nothing but warmth and like I am talking to the aunt I always wanted. I have no been off Lexapro completely for about 3 weeks and have been trying Ritalin for the first time in my life. I feel better than ever and Poletti still isn't satisfied, wanting me to be on a medication with as few side effects as possible. The come down from the medication I am still getting used to and she wants me to track because she doesn't like stimulants, something else I love about her. Working with her you get a woman who knows the medications and she won't sugarcoat to you the potential side effects or negative impacts of them. She wants to make sure things are working and at the same time doesn't see the need for session to be long winded or exhaustive. I cannot recommend her enough.
