Dr. Stephen B. Bharucha, MD

Saw Dr. Atony today for an Endoscopy and he was very pleasant. Also for the prep, Stephanie the M.A. was also very pleasant and professional. I highly recommend this facility for both Colonoscapy and Endoscopy procedures. Last to note...the facility is clean.

Dr. Baracchua is one of the best gastroenterologists I’ve ever seen. He is knowledgeable, has good manners in treating his patients, explains with detail about your problems, listens to your concern and answers any questions you might ask him. In less than two weeks, Doctor Barucchua performed three different procedures on me: colonoscopy, endoscopy and a hemorrhoids removal. I feel like a new person after being treated by him. He’s definitely the best doctor in his specialty. His presence gives you a sense of confidentiality, comfort and security.

I have been going to Dr. Bharucha for many years and he has helped keep my cronic case of ulcerative colitis at bay. No flare-ups since being his patient. If I have a concern, he speaks with me on the phone, unlike Montefiore offices. The nurses, and office worker's are fabulous, such as Yanni, Heidi, Joelissa, Cassandra, Stephanie and Jose. They are all friendly and helpful. Anna is wonderful. Besides Dr. Bharucha, I adore the anesthetist Sanjay Saigal. This office is truly the best!!"

1/2025 - got off call with a reception/staff. RUDE. Hung up on me. All I asked was for the email address to send medical records over. i told her no one answers the office line all day yesterday or responds to emails sent via the web portal. Then she tool the office phone off the hook. TUESDAY JAN 7th 2025. at 11:04am. DISGUSTING. TYPICAL BRONX ATTITUDE - will be reporting further.

Dr. Barucha is a doll. He's thorough and understanding and he's there so very early each day. He took time to make sure I understood each procedure and discussed the results with me immediately after each one. The staff is nice too, my only complaint is they never sent me a copy of the test results.
