Dr. Joice Samuel

I brought my daughter here when Montefiore wouldn't take sick kids during covid (they are now...but not in 2021). The staff has always been kind, pleasant and efficient. Dr. Samuels and her practitioners are professional and thorough. I have never had to wait more than 5 or 10 min in the waiting area. I have never been to a doctors office that you were in and out with a baby in less than 30/40min tops. I know someone else that goes and it's the same. You will be seen quickly and theirs a sense of urgency to get you in a room. The rooms are clean. There's always street parking. The ONLY reason I can say is an issue, is the location. It's not a good neighborhood but I hate to even mention that as a reflection to the staff or practice. If you need to have your child seen by a reliable doctor, I recommend Dr. Samuels. If the someone is rude, then ask to talk to some else...

I have taken my kids to Dr.Joice for over 7 years and I have always received the best care for my children. Dr Joice cares a lot about her patients and has taken very good care of all my children’s needs. I have never met a care team as hands on. I thank God for Bronx Kids Pediatrics.

I’m really dissatisfied with this pediatrician because of money they didn’t see my newborn baby in December of last year. They told me to change my son’s pediatrician on his insurance card to there name and as a first time mom I forgot. So I never remembered to call my insurance and change the pediatrician name. When my baby went to see them the third time the front desk lady called me three times telling me to change the pediatrician name on his card. The third time she called my husband was there waiting for a hour with my baby (who was naked wrapped in a towel) and nobody saw him because they didn’t have their name on his insurance. The front desk lady called and told me that they won’t see my child until I change the name on his insurance card. She gave me a number to call the insurance for me to change the name then after I have to call and give her back a reference number. I told them my insurance lady would do it and they told me that they need it unless they won’t see the baby. At this point my husband dress my baby and he told me he was leaving. My husband was parked on a meter for two hours outside and I was not present there to do anything. He told them that he have no time to waste as he was there waiting from 10AM in the morning until 12PM. I feel my rights here in the United States is violated because of money my baby didn’t get seen by this pediatrician. If I could give zero stars I would I’m really disgusted and I would never go back there because it shows at the end of the day it’s all about money for them. I wouldn’t recommend their services to anyone! My newborn baby didn’t see a doctor for a whole two weeks because I had to look for a new pediatrician for him. Looking back my baby never had to even wait for 20 minutes to see them there but because of money the third time he went there he wasn’t seen by anyone. Plus the staff is unprofessional because they didn’t even said anything to my husband who was there waiting for two hours shame on this pediatrician office!

I’m so upset for their behavior, People bring their children to the doctor only when their child is sick, My child was sick. My appointment was to be taken at 3:15. I arrived at the doctor's office at 3:30, I did 15 minutes late that’s why they didn't see my baby and made an appointment for the next day. My baby suffer at night lot, he cry lot , I take him to the emergency room at night , & he have ear infections. The front desk people r not interested to listen anything, they r so rude . I requested to everyone don’t take ur kids here,, !!

Dr. Samuel and Nurse Practitioner Emily are awesome! Everything you would want your pediatrician to be, warm, personable, knowledgeable and professional. She takes good care of my son
