Had rotator cuff surgery April of 2025, Dr. Angelillo was a great surgeon, compassionate and very thorough in explaining how the procedure would go. I must say surgery was a success, pain is gone, I full range of motion, it was a long year but the one thing I've learned just be patient with the pain, it definitely takes a year for complete recovery.

TORN ROTATOR CUFF PATIENTS, If your reading this you're probably about a week into this injury and found that doing everyday tasks are impossible or near impossible to accomplish. Your in pain probably not able to sleep in bed (I recommend a lift recliner). It does get better but takes some time. You also have met with Dr. Angelillo. You are in good hands. He explained the entire process on day one. MRI to surgery to recovery. The day of surgery you are given a pain block. What a wonderful thing! Take advantage of this. Get the sleep you have been missing. This is the first time you are pain free since the injury. It last about 30 hours but unfortunately pain comes back. I felt some relief 2 weeks after the surgery. Biofreeze was my best friend for a while. 2 months after surgery I was feeling pretty good and sleeping in a bed again. Here I am a year after the surgery able to do everything I always did pain free. I highly recommend Dr. Angelillo. His staff in the office and team in the O.R. we're incredible. Everything went as planned. FYI I am 66 year old male in fair health.
