I’ve been here twice due to the nursing strike in midtown. Reception is quick and easy but the nursing staff is TERRIBLE! You have to get here 30mins before your appointment if you want to be seated on time. My first visit I was there exactly when my appointment was supposed to start only to have to wait 20mins for my name to be called. I was late to my other appointment due to this delay. My second visit I came 30mins early and was called exactly at my appointment time. Every time I’ve been here the nurse (white, blonde hair, glasses) speaks so condescendingly towards me. She shamed me because I didn’t get a chance to eat breakfast before I came in. She also made it seem like it was my fault they couldn’t find my veins. Even after being seated I have to wait another 10-20mins for them to get my medication. Whenever I question what/why the nurses are doing something (I get weekly-monthly treatments in midtown so I know the specific routine they have to do) I get met with attitude and dismissal as if I won’t understand what’s supposed to be going on. My appointments are 3hrs long but I always end up being here for 4hrs. I’ve NEVER had this experience at the east side location. The nurses in midtown are kind, polite and patient. I get seated quickly and have a very short wait for them to grab my medicine. They find my veins fast with no issues. They have a coffee and food area (self serve or delivered to you) if you’re hungry or have low blood sugar. Because they are so efficient sometimes I leave my appointments early. Don’t waste your time at the Brooklyn infusion center. Just go to the one in midtown, it’s worth the travel.
