This has been the most unprofessional front desk experience I’ve ever had at a medical office. This is the third time this particular staff member has dismissed or ignored my concerns. Today, instead of listening or clarifying the issue with the doctor regarding my surgery, she insisted that I didn’t have an appointment and claimed it belonged to my mother — even though we have different last names and dates of birth. I was literally holding my appointment card, yet I was still questioned as if I was wrong. On top of that, she compared my information with my mother’s chart, which is a clear HIPAA violation. Mistakes like this can put patients at risk. Dr. Percy is an excellent and pleasant provider, but the front desk experience does not reflect his professionalism. This staff member needs proper training and significantly better patient communication skills. As someone who also works in the medical field, it is disappointing to be met with this level of disrespect and lack of competence from the first point of contact in the office.
