Joe
My appointment was at 9:50am, they had suggested me to come 10 minutes before time to fill the new patient documents. I was there just on time, so yes, I was technically a bit late. Mind you, it takes at least 20 minutes to read and fill the documents (especially if every seat is taken). Almost an hour goes by, and at least 2 other patients who arrived after me, filled their documents, and got their turn with their doctor. Also every other patient that was there before me had their turn. It’s now past 11:20am (40 minutes later) and I'm finally welcomed to follow the doctor's assistant to a windowless room. The assistant asks a few questions about my visit and then asks me to wait for the doctor in the room. Another 10 minutes go by and still no doctor; it's now 11:35am, I've reached my threshold and I really have to go back to work. I had been at this clinic for an hour and a half and I bet that I only needed 5-10 minutes of the doctor's time. At that point, I decide to leave without a consultation; I quickly got a refund and left (they gave the refund quickly and with no problem). On my way out, I was very angry but still gathered that they clocked me into their system after 10:30am (1h before I left) and considered me "very late", it also means that it took about 10 minutes to process my documents; therefore not following their own recommended lead time for new patients. I will certainly not go again, unless I ever want to feel disrespected.
