This was one of the most frustrating and poorly handled medical office experiences I have had. (MANAGER’s attitude was so annoying) My March 17 appointment was canceled due to insurance issues, yet I was never notified in advance. I only discovered this by calling the morning of the appointment. Failing to inform patients of cancellations in a timely manner is a serious breakdown in basic office responsibility. I was then told I would be given a one-month prescription as a courtesy. However, the pharmacy later informed me that the prescription was not approved. This kind of inconsistency between what patients are told and what is actually processed is unacceptable and creates unnecessary stress, especially when medication is needed. The most concerning part of this experience was the repeated interaction with the office MANAGER. Rather than taking accountability or helping resolve the issue efficiently, she repeatedly insisted that I “should have known” to come in every 6 months, despite the fact that this was never clearly communicated to me by the doctor. Being spoken to in a dismissive and condescending manner—multiple times—only made an already frustrating situation worse. Patients should not be blamed for lack of communication or internal mismanagement. Clear guidance, consistency, and respectful communication are the minimum expectations in a healthcare setting. Although I eventually received the prescription, the overall experience reflects serious issues with communication, coordination, and professionalism. I strongly encourage this office to reevaluate how they handle patient communication and staff training.
