Save yourself the headache and DO NOT GO HERE. I strongly encourage anyone who has had a troubling experience here, to share it with the New York State Department of Health Professionals (you can request a DOH 3867 form). In my visits I found the front-desk staff consistently unhelpful and unprofessional, and many of the concerns reflected in other reviews matched my own experience. It seems to come from the top down starting with the office manager Krystal. Like many reviews here the office forces you to go in for simple things just so they can ‘lay eyes’ on you. I see other reviews here listing how patients must make an appointment for a simple question which makes me feel better because I have been through the same exact thing! They simply want to make as much money as they possibly can either via appointments that aren’t necessary (so they can charge your insurance) or by overcharging your card as stated here by other people. As for the health care professionals, the turnover is HIGH you’re lucky if the doctor you see today is there next year, which makes continuity of care difficult and contributes to an overall sense of instability in the practice! These issues affect both patients and the healthcare professionals working there, and the environment has noticeably declined over time. (I will say every health care professional I have had has been nothing but helpful and kind. The issue is they never stay long. I can only imagine what they have to go through working here). To the City Care Family Practice management: please don’t bother replying with another empty, copy-and-paste response. Unless you’re prepared to explain how you will be making real, noticeable improvements to how this place is run... don’t waste your time.
