朱淑榕
My husband and I have been regulars at Fang Chixin Clinic for over a decade, but our physical exam this morning was a terrible experience that left me furious. My husband had his blood drawn first—the nurse pricked one arm but failed to draw blood, then pricked his other arm instead, leaving him in sharp pain that took him quite a while to recover from. When it was my turn, I told the nurse upfront that I’m afraid of pain and asked her to be gentle. Yet her blood draw was still very painful, and I instinctively said it hurt. She then responded with a sarcastic and rude attitude at once, mocking me for overexaggerating and even saying I should find someone else to draw my blood next time. I held back to avoid trouble on the spot, but when I went back to ask if patients aren’t even allowed to say it hurts here, she was sarcastic again, only uttering a dismissive "Fine, I’m sorry then" with no sincerity at all. Pain from a blood draw is understandable, and I had no intention of being disrespectful—just making a natural reaction. What infuriates me most is the nurse’s extremely unprofessional and impolite attitude, which is totally unacceptable for a medical worker, especially toward long-term loyal customers.
