Chinatown General Surgery-Steven Wong, M. D., P.C.

This practice is awful. The staff is unfriendly, LONG wait times, the staff opens 5 minutes before the start of your appointment then makes you wait 20 minutes even though you’re the first person there, even though the open at 9 their phone answering machines stay on until 945. They overbook their schedule and have no sympathy making you wait 1.5 hours for a 10 minute appointment. Dr Wang was very friendly, sweet, and personable. I saw Dr Wong for a follow up when she was on vacation and he didn’t know anything about my background/why I was here and did an unnecessary aspiration for nothing.

Dr. Wong's office is one of the worse medical offices I've visited! His staffs are rude and unprofessional! There's always a wait of at least 2 hours to see the doctor for FIVE minutes! Dr. Wong is not informative, patient, nor compassionate. My mom had a biopsy done in his office and went back for a follow up, one of Dr. Wong's associates saw her but my mom wasn't told in advance. She had no idea who this doctor was nor did the doctor introduced herself when she came in the room. I got fed up and decided to take my mom to see another doctor and one of the staffs called my mom right after we hanged up and threatened that if she doesn't provide them with the new doctor's information, they will take legal action on my mom! Which of course, I know that it is illegal for them to do that since I work in the medical field myself. A lot of patients like my mom prefers to see Asian doctors because of language barriers and cultural reasons. These doctors in Chinatown are aware of this and take advantage! They often overbook their schedule and that's why there's such a long wait every time. Also, they hire associates who are not even board certified to help with their practices. These "so-called" doctors might have received their educations in another foreign country, but they are not board certified in the united states and that's very dangerous! Please be careful with the doctors you choose for yourself and your loved ones.
