We stopped by to get some matcha and enjoy our New York trip. We ordered two Matcha Lattes and went to sit in the back area where there are benches and tables. I laid down for a moment to stretch my back and was about to get up when an employee told us that the seating area would be closing in 20 minutes, at 3 PM. I found it strange that the seating section would close while the store was still open, but I didn’t argue and simply said “okay.” About 10 minutes later, another staff member came over and pressured us to leave, seemingly just because I had briefly laid down on the bench. That wasn’t even the main issue—the bigger problem was the attitude. There was a rude lady with a distinctive haircut who kept rolling her eyes, and I noticed many other reviews mentioning her as well. I’m sharing this experience so management is aware. If customers are not going to be treated with respect, it raises the question of why the staff is working in customer service at all. Management should address this behavior immediately.
