When I took my family to see the neurologist I ignored the bad google reviews. My first thought was, "these google reviewers are too hard to please". However, the reviews were genuine! We were there to check for neurological disorders, but for some reason, the conversation always steers back to "sleep apnea" disorders. I don't know their reason for "hard selling" a sleep machine, but this is not what we were there for. We wanted to see if we can detect any issues with conventional methodologies like "EEG, CT scan, etc" However, they were adamant that we have to do something called an "overnight sleep" test. This test works by having our family member sleep their overnight to test for apnea. It felt very strange but we reluctantly agreed. Later, my family told me she really isn't comfortable sleeping overnight at a clinic. Their front desk contacted me to confirm the schedule and I told her my family member's response. The front desk immediately flipped on me. She said "how can our neurologist diagnose you when you don't sleep here overnight". I asked her, "don't neurologists have other diagnostic techniques?" She said, "no this is the only way". I told her we are not coming back. I understand that sleeping overnight might be a very accurate method of diagnosing for apnea, but we weren't really here for that in the first place. The front desk also started behaving aggressively after we told her about our discomfort. One thing is for sure, it's really hard being their patient. I want to share this with anyone who are looking for a neurology clinic that takes priority in your biggest concern. I am afraid this is not the place if sleep apnea is not your biggest issue.
