Terrible experience with this doctor. I had an appointment at Century Medical in August 2025 seeking evaluation for significant neurological symptoms, including difficulty walking, tremors, and other serious issues. I have since been diagnosed with FXTAS and FND. During the appointment, the neurologist dismissed my concerns and began yelling at me telling me to focus my disability claim on "anxiety and depression" rather than properly evaluating my neurological condition. I left the office in tears, deeply hurt and shocked by the lack of professionalism and compassion. My real, tangible medical issues were minimized, leaving me feeling unheard and dismissed. This experience reflects a troubling pattern of medical bias that women and people of color often face. Patients presenting with serious neurological concerns should be listened to, properly evaluated, and treated with respect. Dismissing patients in this way has a real emotional impact and can delay proper care and treatment. After seeking care with another neurologist, my symptoms were properly assessed, documented, and evaluated. As of February 4, 2026, I was approved for disability benefits, confirming that my condition, even at 38, is serious and well-documented. Patients deserve to be taken seriously and to have their medical concerns validated, without bias or dismissal!
