I’ve given this clinic multiple chances, but I’m officially done. At my last appointment, I even took the day off work just to be asked, “Why are you here today?”the same question they asked again at my follow-up. Each time, they were supposed to call my insurance for approval on the dental work I need, and every time they clearly never did. Instead, they turn it around and ask me if I called my insurance, when that’s literally their responsibility since they’re the ones who know what needs to be approved. This place has zero organization or accountability. It feels like because most of their patients have Medicaid, they just don’t care or move with any urgency. I have excellent private insurance, and it makes no difference, the level of service and communication here is just unprofessional. To be clear, Dr. Frenkel is an excellent doctor, professional, knowledgeable, and caring, but unfortunately, he’s surrounded by poor staff who don’t match his standard of care. If you value your time and want a clinic that actually follows through, I’d recommend going somewhere else.

Dr Fraenkel is the best dentist in the Bronx. His staff Rachel and Darlene was were both courteous and helpful. I was a victim of crime and had my teeth damaged. They implemented a treatment plan with Dr Fraenkel and with crime victims services and all my work was paid for even though I didn’t have insurance. Thank God for GDS. Thank God for Dr Fraenkel.
