Dr. Vanessa Vega
I want to preface this review by saying that I mean no ill will with my opinion, I’m simply mentioning this because I really do love my MidWife and I’m hoping that if she reads this she continues to strive to do better. I’ve been coming to this location for years and even after moving I would still travel to this location because I loved them so much, but during my last few visits I’ve become disillusioned with the quality of care that I’ve received and the women at the front desk. I’m not sure who was in charge of communicating with my insurance for my nexplanon birth control, but they did not do it, so when I went to my appointment the birth control wasn’t available and that’s when they realized that they didn’t order it. Upon doing my annual check up, I asked the provider to check my breasts and she did check them but she told me to checking my own breasts.. which is good advice, but in the way that the message was delivered it made me feel kind of bad.. like almost if I shouldn’t have asked her to check. At the beginning the care was so personal and I still do trust her entirely, however, the last few times that I’ve called asking for birth control to be sent to the pharmacy she has been very helpful in sending it over, again I need to call the office at least twice or three times just to know if it has been approved or not. I had to move on to another provider only because traveling to this location no longer made sense for me with all the miscommunication and confusion that has been happening during my last few visits. In conclusion, the Midwife is still attentive and knowledgeable therefore, I still recommend her.
