I rarely leave negative reviews, but after giving this office multiple chances over the past year and a half, I feel compelled to share my experience. To be fair, Dr. Khadah was excellent and I appreciate the quality of the eye surgery and medical care provided. My issue is entirely with the office operations and patient experience. The waiting times at Associated Retina Specialists are completely unacceptable. Nearly every visit requires taking half a day off work. Patients routinely wait 2–3+ hours, even for scheduled appointments. As an example, after my eye surgery I avoided coming in for recommended follow-up visits simply because of how exhausting and disruptive the process was. I previously submitted a complaint regarding the excessive wait times, hoping things would improve. Unfortunately, after returning again a year and a half later, nothing has changed. Today, after already waiting over an hour and a half, I politely asked the front desk about the delay and was met with a defensive response stating that appointments “usually take about 2.5 hours.” That should never be considered normal or acceptable for a medical office, especially for patients balancing work, family, and health concerns. Again, Dr. Khadah was professional and skilled, but the office management and scheduling experience have made this my last visit here. I cannot recommend this office unless you are prepared to lose several hours of your day for every appointment.
