Dr. Getaneh is pretty much my idea of an ideal primary care physician: Thorough and attentive in her questioning and evaluating, kind but authoritative in advising and suggesting, clearly watchful and commonsensical in her overall demeanor--never dismissive or domineering the way some doctors betray their sense of superiority to the patient. I believe that by prescribing me one little addition to my cardiac drug regimen, she enabled me to decisively stabilize my blood pressure and leave hypertension behind. I feel great gratitude toward her.
