I went here for inpatient rehab, ended up with a horrible toothache. My face was swollen, I had a fever and I was in so much pain. They put me on antibiotics and gave me oral gel. The oral gel and tylenol didn't give me relief. The 3rd night I was there, I went to the ER via cab alone. Staff was aware. The doctor changed the antibiotics and wrote a note saying I had to get the tooth removed as soon as possible. By this time even my neck was starting to swell up. The staff at Arms Acres refused to take me to a dentist, despite how many times I politely asked them for help. I live in Staten Island, NY, which is about a 2 hour ride from there. They told me that they would not take me to a dentist, but they would drive for 2 hours to take me home. I went here to get clean, but I had to leave because they refused to take me to a dentist. This is clearly neglect on their part. This incident tells you what lousy care you will receive there. It never crossed their minds that I was at this facility to receive treatment for my addiction. Find another place to go, they do not take recovery seriously!!
