Update - not only they did not provide ANY help- they still made a claim with my insurance- the audacity! AVOID THIS PRACTICE. I went to ENT & Allergy Associates in Astoria under Dr. Steven Alexander and left feeling dismissed, disrespected, and completely unheard as a patient. My appointment was at 10:20 AM. I wasn't taken in until 10:55 AM. The doctor asked a handful of surface-level questions and then vanished for over 10 minutes with no explanation. An assistant then told me I had to go wait outside for audiology — again, no timeline, no communication. After another 10+ minutes of silence, I went to the front desk myself. They told me it would be 30 more minutes. I'm a working person. I told them I couldn't stay. Their response? "Let me talk to the doctor." The doctor never came out. I told them I was leaving. I had already paid. I received no prescription, no diagnosis explanation, nothing. As I walked out the door, suddenly they could see me right away. So they had the time all along — they just didn't think my schedule mattered. The visit summary they handed me on my way out listed TWO diagnoses: The doctor never once explained either of these to me. I left a medical appointment with unaddressed findings that I had to read about it myself on a printout. This is not healthcare. This is an assembly line that treats patients as an inconvenience. Do not waste your time, money, or health on this practice.
