I never leave reviews, but after my experience today, I felt like I must for awareness. Dr Stephanie is fantastic, as is the rest of the nurse team - I can’t recommend them enough. However, the receptionist constantly seems to be having bad days. In the past, I would get text messages saying to arrive 15 minutes early for my appointment, in case paperwork needs to be filled out. I remember I arrived early, but the receptionist questioned why I was there so early (15 minutes, like it said), and gave me attitude. She said I would be waiting a bit and was very rude. Conveniently, I still got called early. Today, my appointment was changed without my permission and without any awareness. A few days ago, I asked to see if there was another date/time to change my reservation, and declined the offered new time. However, even after declining, they still changed my time without my permission. When I explained this to the receptionist today, they made it seem like it was my fault and I was inconveniencing them because of their mistake. I asked if I could have my original time back, but they said it was booked up and they can’t do anything about that. The next appointment wasn’t until AUGUST. The receptionist mentioned that my appointment could be over video call, I said sure that’s perfect - it’s just going over lab work. Turns out, there wasn’t any availability! Don’t know why that was even brought up, because five minutes later, she told me “oh wait, it does have to be in person.” Luckily, there was availability at the Clermont location, but now I’m resulted to driving half an hour to the Clermont office, instead of less than ten minutes from my place to the Windermere office, for my new appointment! She also asked for my insurance information, I confirmed it, and she gave me a dirty look with my response. I truly don’t understand why when I am being nothing but nice to her. If it wasn’t for how great Dr Stephanie was, I would have left years ago due to the constant negative interactions with reception. You do not feel welcome, and you constantly feel like a bother. I hope the Clermont office treats their patients with more respect.
